Summer Programs at Vista del Futuro
The Burnham Wood Family of Charter Schools provides a variety of programs over the summer to ensure your child’s academic success. For programs limited to specific grades, these grades refer to the student’s grade during the 2016-2017 school year unless otherwise specified.
The following summer school programs are for students who need additional help with the STAAR. (More information about the STAAR)
- Reading, grades 3-6: Students will learn reading concepts necessary to be successful in school and the state assessment. July 31-August 4, Monday to Friday, 8 A.M.-2:30 P.M.
- Math, grades 3-6: Students will learn math concepts necessary to be successful in school and the state assessment. July 31-August 4, Monday to Friday, 8 A.M.-2:30 P.M.
The following summer school program is for students who are in the Bilingual program and are either current kindergarten students going into first grade or incoming kindergarten students who qualify.
- Bilingual Summer Program: June 12-July 10, Monday to Friday, 8 A.M.-2 P.M.
The following program is open to all students, including those who do not attend the Burnham Wood family of charter schools. This program will be held on the Da Vinci campus:
- Burnham Wood Summer Music & Art Academy: This week-long summer program mixes lessons in string instruments with visual arts. The program is open to anyone between the ages of five and eighteen, regardless of whether they attend any of the Burnham Wood family of charter schools.
