Movie night is back!

The Da Vinci International Club will be hosting a screening of Lilo & Stitch on Friday, September 26, at 4:30 PM. The event will take place in the Da Vinci auditorium at 785 Southwestern Dr. Pizza and concessions will be available starting at just $1 each. Admission is free!

All proceeds will go towards the club’s summer 2026 Europe trip. Parent supervision is required for all students in 5th grade and lower. For any questions contact Mrs. Loya at aloya@burnhamwood.org.

El Club Internacional de Da Vinci presentará una función de Lilo & Stitch este viernes 25 de septiembre a las 4:30 pm. El evento se llevará a cabo en el auditorio de Da Vinci; 785 Southwestern Dr. Se venderá pizza, bebidas, y botanas a tan solo $1 dólar. ¡La admisión es gratuita!

More DV students can enjoy free school meals

Parents and guardians,
In the 2025-26 and 2026-27 school years, Da Vinci students who qualify for reduced-price meals will receive breakfast and lunch at no cost. Please contact the school to learn more and how to apply for school meal benefits.

VDF Early Release/Parent-Teacher Conferences, Sep. 19

Students will be released early on Friday, September 19, 2025. Your child’s teacher has sent out sign-up sheets. This is ONLY a 15 to 20 minute discussion on your child’s academic achievements, grades, and behavior. If you would like to discuss with more detail, request a meeting with your teacher during their conference time.

VDF Title I, Part A Parent and Family Engagement Meetings 2025-26

Title I, Part A, of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), as reauthorized by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), requires that local educational agencies (LEAs) conduct outreach to all parents and family members and implement program activities, and procedures for the involvement of parents.

El Título I, Parte A, de la Ley de Educación Primaria y Secundaria (ESEA), según lo reautorizado por la Ley Cada Estudiante Triunfa (ESSA, por sus siglas en inglés), requiere que las agencias educativas locales (LEA, por sus siglas en inglés) realicen actividades de extensión a todos los padres y miembros de la familia e implementen programas, actividades y procedimientos para la

Celebrate 16 de septiembre

Help us celebrate Mexico’s Independence Day on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. The children are allowed to wear customary Mexican attire. NO jeans are to be worn. If your student wears only a shirt, they must wear their uniform bottoms. If your student wears full customary attire, they would not need to wear uniform bottoms.

Ayúdanos a celebrar el Día de la Independencia de México el martes 16 de septiembre de 2025. Los niños pueden usar atuendos tradicionales mexicanos. No se permiten pantalones de mezclilla. Si su estudiante solo usa camisa, debe usar el pantalón del uniforme. Si su estudiante usa el atuendo tradicional completo, no necesita usar el pantalón del uniforme.

DV Fall Individual School Pictures

Da Vinci will be having their annual fall pictures over four days:

  • Tuesday, September 16: 7th and 8th Grade
  • Wednesday, September 17 9th Grade
  • Thursday, September 18: 10th and 11th Grade
  • Friday, September 19: 12th Grade
This picture will be used in the school yearbook. Order forms with a proof of your child’s photo will be sent home about ten days after picture day.

Da Vinci recognized by U.S. News & World Report

Congratulations to Da Vinci School for Science & the Arts, Superintendent Dr. Joe E. Gonzales, former principal Mr. Gallardo, and all the teachers, students, and staff who made this achievement possible!

Da Vinci has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the best high schools in the El Paso metro area. This recognition is especially meaningful because Da Vinci proudly serves one of the highest numbers of emergent bilingual students in the region, while also ranking among the top schools in college readiness.

We are deeply grateful to Dr. G for his visionary leadership and dedication, which have been instrumental in achieving this recognition.
