Movie night is back!

The Da Vinci International Club will be hosting a showing of “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules” Friday, December 2 at 4:30 P.M. The event will take place at the Da Vinci auditorium at 785 Southwestern Dr. Pizza and concessions will be sold starting at only $1 each. Admission is free!

All proceeds will go towards the club’s summer 2023 Europe trip and other Da Vinci clubs. Parent supervision is required for all students in 5th grade and lower. For any questions contact Mrs. Loya.

El evento se llevará a cabo en el auditorio de Da Vinci en 785 Southwestern Dr. Se venderá pizza, bebidas, y botanas desde un $1 dólar. ¡La admisión es gratuita!

Veterans Day Breakfast/Desayuno del Día de los Veteranos

Inviting all active military and veterans to breakfast on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at 9:00 AM. We will be serving coffee, orange juice and a lite pastry. Our students will be singing patriotic songs. We will end our festivities with a parade.

Please notify your child’s teacher if you will be able to join us!


Invitamos a todos los militares activos y veteranos a desayunar el jueves, 10 de noviembre de 2022 a las 9:00 AM. Serviremos café, jugo de naranja y un pastelito. Nuestros estudiantes estarán cantando canciones patrióticas. Terminarán nuestras festividades con un desfile.

Da Vinci Fall Festival/Festival de Otoño

Hello parents and guardians,

The International Club invites you to be part of the amazing Fall Festival that will take place this coming Saturday, October 29th from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. at Da Vinci School. Many clubs will be participating and fundraising. The entrance will be free, and we will have a lot of delicious food, snacks, drinks, and games as well as great performances. Red Ribbon Spirit Week/Semana del Listón Rojo

The Linguistic Academy of El Paso will be celebrating Red Ribbon Spirit Week from October 24-31, 2022. No jeans are allowed for any spirit day. Participation is free! Students not participating must wear their uniform.

  • Monday, October 24: Wear Red Day: Support Red Ribbon Week. Wear as much red as possible.
  • Tuesday, October 25: Team Spirit Day: Show your spirit! Wear a shirt or jersey from your favorite team.
  • Wednesday, October 26: Dress Like Your Future Career: We have a bright future that is drug-free. Dress like a person from your future career.
  • Thursday, October 27: Funny Hat/Hair and Socks Day: Wear a funny hat or funny hair and your craziest socks.
  • Friday, October 28: Pajama Day: Wear your favorite pajamas. MUST be school appropriate with regular shoes.
  • Monday, October 31: Character Day: Dress up as your all-time favorite character or superhero. NO weapons or masks will be allowed.

Dr. G on KTSM’s Studio 9, Aug. 12 & 13 at 6:30 P.M.

We are proud to announce that our Superintendent, Dr. Joe E. Gonzales was invited to participate in a series of segments for KTSM’s Studio 9, hosted by Robert Bettes. Dr. G. has 61 years of experience in the field of education. He has been recognized and honored by the State of Michigan Senate and House of Representatives as well as the United States Senate and House of Representatives. Among his many awards, he’s been honored with the United States senior senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson Award and Outstanding Hispanic Educator in two states and featured on NBC’s Nightly News, both nationally and internationally. For these and for everything Dr. G. has done for Burnham Wood Charter Schools, our local media has reached out to him.

So, don’t forget to watch our Dr. G. on KTSM Studio 9! It will air on Friday, August 12 from 6:30-7:00 P.M. and again on Saturday, August 13 from 6:30-7:00 P.M.

Open House for Parents and Students

Da Vinci students and parents, please join us for our Open House on August 6, 2022 from 8 A.M.-12 P.M. Students can pick up their schedules and visit their classes before the start of school. Class schedules will be handed out and school uniforms (polos & hoodies) will be on sale.

DV Student Dress Code

Dress Code for the 2022-2023 school year:

  • Khaki or navy blue uniform style bottoms
  • White, navy, or hunter green polo (with or without school logo)
  • Solid colored blazers, sweaters/cardigans
  • Sweatshirts and hoodies only allowed if purchased with logo from school
  • Belt (not required with skirts/dresses)
  • Skirts/dresses/shorts must be no less than 3 inches above the knee

Not allowed:

  • Black bottoms
  • Joggers/jeans/torn bottoms/rivets on pants
  • Hoodies or polos with logos or graphics
  • Open toe, or soft sole shoes
