COVID Vaccination Clinic this Thursday at DV

A vaccination clinic will be held Thursday, May 20, 2021 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the Da Vinci School for Science and the Arts auditorium. If interested, keep in mind:
👍 Vaccinations are available for those aged 12 or older. If you are under the age of 18, a parent/guardian/sponsor will need to accompany you.
💉 Adults will receive the Moderna vaccine. Those under the age of 18 will receive the Pfizer vaccine.
🌐 This opportunity is available for all our Burnham Wood family and the community as a whole.
🅿️ Park along Southwestern drive and walk in the pedestrian gate. Parking will not be available within the gates.
📧 Please contact Ms. Taylor Glenn at tglenn@burnhamwood.org before noon on May 20 if you are interested. Specify the name and age of anyone wanting to receive a vaccine.

Parent, Teacher, and Student Portals and TxEIS Are Moving

Parents, Teachers, Students, and Staff:

The web addresses for Parent Portal, Teacher Portal, Student Portal, and TxEIS are moving this weekend! Get ready:

🔐 Make sure you know your user name and password for any of the portals you use. If you saved your password, the option to use your saved password may not appear after the move. Not sure what your saved password is? Here are some instructions for retrieving your saved passwords from different browsers:

Search for "txeis.net" to find your user name and password.
🕓 Make sure you finish anything you need to do by 4 P.M. on Friday. You will be able to log in again at 10 P.M. on Sunday using the new links below or in the menus of your campus’s home page.
⭐ If you bookmarked any of the portals, make sure you update your bookmarks to the ones listed below. You can also use the menu options on your campus home page. Don’t update your bookmarks until the weekend.
The new links are listed below. Note that these will not work until Sunday, May 16 at 10 P.M.

DV Alumnus Lauren Martinez performing April 23 at 7:30 P.M.

Da Vinci alumnus Lauren Martinez will have a piano recital this Friday, April 23 at 7:30 P.M. at UTEP’s Fox Fine Arts Recital Hall. The event is free and open to the public.

Lauren Martinez is a pianist born and raised in El Paso, Texas who has been studying the piano from the age of seven. A former student and graduate of Da Vinci School for Science and the Arts, she is currently a piano performance major at the University of Texas at El Paso.

Lauren has performed throughout Europe from Paris, France to the home of renowned Spanish composer Joaquin Rodrigo in Madrid, Spain, as well as at the ORFEO Music Festival in Vipiteno, Italy. She has received numerous music scholarships and devotes her time to her students and her personal growth as a pianist, focusing on music theory and music history.

In addition to performing, she is a member of the El Paso Music Teachers Association, the Music Teachers National Association, and is president of the piano organization HOLOS Piano Collective.
